Hi again,
Well, my DNS seems to work fine - I've had people look over it, run
reports from DNS expert, run www.dnsreport.com over it & had people look
at the individual domain zone files - nobody has picked up any errors & it
responds very quickly.
The stalling problem, as I mentioned, only affectes the web server
portion of my WebTen machine - FTP & DNS respond as normal. It can be hours
(if I don't check it overnight), but it could also be days as I've always
rebooted as soon as I've discovered that it wasn't serving.
Interestingly, it has been 'stalling' with the Web server over the
last month or so if I leave it up fo more than about 70 hours. I have been
rebooting every morning to avoid any problem. Squid has been turned off
since the Nimda occurence on my system, so I don't know what has prompted
the stalling problem again - this is one reason why I have been configuring
iTools to take over.
Finally, since I have had Squid turned off, WebTen has provided
much faster response times than with Squid switched on.
Bye for now, Terry Allen
