Nope - I never owned 2.x, I only owned 3.x - on a server running UBB forums 
(I'm the reason xlr8yourmac.com switched to UBB) - It got about 25,000 hits 
per day, and as such could not stay up under the load with squid enabled - 
it's old squid, by the by. the only way to keep it up was by turning it off.

It was further increased loads that sent me to OSXS, thence to Linux.
