Ok,
I set up ns1.ourdomain.com in OSXS settings, and set
up my domains with ns1.ourdomain.com as a host using
our internal IP, and internally it appears to be
working.
However, www.ourdomain.com is one of our domains and
is reporting DNSFAILED! when I look at the zone is
lists ns1 as a host and not ns1.ourdomain.com as a
host presumably because they are the same name and
that is an alias not a host.
My three questions are 1) can I fix this or 2) should
I have picked an arbitrary name for dns? Wouldn't that
not work, I mean, doesn't the DNS have to be a domain,
do I lose that domains ability to serve pages when it
becomes a DNS?
