No squid file in /usr/local/squid/bin/squid

the box won't serve files on ports 80, 81, 82, or 84

I've rebooted the machine, checked the apache.conf file, all is well from
what I can tell

killed the parent and children of apache

tried to restart (it thinks it does but really doesn't)

tried a graceful restart

tried a configtest (syntax OK)

tried all of my virtual hosts

tried my IP address

at least sendmail is working (for now)  :) to insure that I'll hear from
each of my customers a couple of times today

we'll see what 8:00 am PDT brings us
