Cool thanks. Ironically I had composed a not all that nice email this
morning about _needing_ answers to these questions (some of which are
almost two years old) right before Eric answered them! Luckily I was
using a different email client which wasn't allowed to post so I saved
face (kinda.. shoulda thought of disabling write perms on the reverse
lookup file!! Doh!). :-)
I created a start.admin startup script which works great and doesn't
spawn these demon tail -f processes (I had 7 unique ones over the last
four months of uptime! Bleh!). Glad to hear that named caching will be a
future option... I'm going to activate that tomorrow anyway just to save
a tiny amount of bandwidth.
Feels good to have new faith in the iTools folks. :-D
