Mac OS X PB/iTools/WebCatalog slows to a crawl
Does anybody have any idea why this could be happening? After about 2 or 3
hours, the Apache web server pretty much stops responding (times out) and
the actual Aqua interface slows to a crawl (barely redrawing, etc.).
I eventually have to just reboot the machine.
I am running Mac OS X Public Beta (1H39), iTools (6.006) and WebCatalog
(4.0.2rc1). The computer is a Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) with 256 MB of
RAM. It is connected to the Internet via a T1 line. I am hosting about 36
virtual domains. I have the Accelerator Cache OFF (formore accurate logging
and because web developers were complaining that files they were uploading
via FTP weren't displaying).
I've run AlSoft's DiskWarrior on the hard disk and found problems, but that
was a few days ago. (What other Disk Utility do you recommend? I am afraid
of Norton Utilities)
Can anyone shed any light onto why this might be happening?
I am resorting to connecting the Mac OS X computer to a PowerKey Pro 600 and
having a Power Mac 6100 running PageSentry reboot the Mac when it cannot get
a web page.
