iTools
WebDAV under Apache (iTools) on OSXS
|
Hello,
I'm currently configuring an OS X Server (on a B&W G3) and
want to incorporate WebDAV support into Apache.
The mod_dav install seemed to work fine, but when I restarted Apache I
got the following message:
Loaded DSO
/System/Library/Apache/Modules/libdav.so uses plain Apache 1.3 API,
this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile with -DEAPI)
After much to-ing and fro-ing I managed to
re-compile mod_dav against the 1.3.14 version of the Apache source,
and the above message went away. Resolved I think.
However, I still cannot get Goliath 0.8 (under Mac OS 9.0.4) to
connect to my web server.
I have added the following configuration lines to my apache.conf:
DAVLockDB
"/Local/Library/WebServer/Lock/DAVLock"
DAVMinTimeout 600
And a "DAV on" directive within my
document root directory definition. This is what I understand to be
the minimum requirement for meeting the DAV protocol spec.
The install added the appropriate LoadModule and AddModule directives,
and the server info under iTools returns:
Apache/1.3.14 (iTools/MacOSXS) DAV/1.0.2
mod_perl/1.24 mod_fastcgi/2.2.10
This would seem to suggest that everything
is working!
Has anybody else tried incorporating DAV capabilities? With any
success? Any suggestions or workarounds?
TIA,
--
