iTools
For those that have had trouble with the command "newaliases" I dove in
and figured it out.
First.....iTools does not put a copy of /etc/aliases or /etc/aliases.db
in the appropriate location which is different from the OSX server file
layout. To do so enter the following into your terminal:
cp -R /etc/aliases.db /etc/mail/aliases.db
cp -R /etc/aliases /etc/mail/aliases
now you must set the files so they are not executable. Do this by
entering the following into your terminal:
chmod 644 /etc/mail/aliases.db
chmod 644 /etc/mail/aliases
now type newaliases and it should return something like the following:
/etc/mail/aliases: 58 aliases, longest 148 bytes, 4201 bytes total
peace
