Stace,

I don't recall if you noted having Streaming over HTTP enabled. If so, then the streaming server might be binding to your IP address and preventing apache from starting up.

The admin server is reporting correctly.

I've seen this behavior when experimenting with HTTP streaming on an iTools box.

The solution is to run one HTTP service (preferrably your apache) on another port, enabling your QT streaming clients the advantages of HTTP streaming (proxy and firewall negotiations).

Hope this helps,

TSS,

I actually reported this long ago with one other issue. After a short
discussion over several emails I was told to wait for the 6.1 update to
resolve both my problems. Specifically with QTSS the web admin/server
controls reports the Web Server as "QTSS/3.0.1 [v336]-Mac OSX". The control
buttons do not work for apache consistently.

I'll send more details directly to support.

Alain, Stace,

We have been very successful running QTSS with all versions of
iTools. I have not heard of any problems until now...
Alain,

I've been running QTSS with iTools since OSXS 1.0. Pretty much never had any
problems. Due to the large number of end users behind firewalls (an almost
alarming number do not have UDP ports open to allow native QT streaming)
I've always kept QTSS locked to its own IP to allow use of port 80 tunneling
when necessary. On OS 10.0.3 with iTools 6.02, QTSS does break the webserver
control in the iTools web based admin.

We have never experienced this in our testing. What is the exact problem you are having? iTools and QTSS should interact with no problems.
