iTools
iTools 5.x never really had the uninstall problem that iTools 6.x did
due to differences in the Apple installer between 1.2 and 10.x. You
should not need to un-install iTools 5.x either.

Can we assume that iTools 5.019 no longer has to be un-installed in order to
update to 5.1 as well?

iTools customers,
You will no longer need to un-install previous versions of iTools to
use the 6.1 package. It is a combination update/ installer. We are
currently revising our website to reflect these changes. You should
not need to back up any files, but if you feel it is necessary, the
files are listed in the iTools OS X FAQ.
