Re: Having some new probs
That line reads .....
HOSTNAME=www.travelsyndicate.com
No DNS resolution on that hostname, which explains the "0".
DNS lookup on "travelsyndicate.com" resolves but very slowly because
both the SOA and NS records are seriously broken.
Here's what a query gets:
travelsyndicate.com. 86400 IN NS
63.207.184.179.travelsyndicate.com.
travelsyndicate.com. 86400 IN SOA
63.207.184.179.travelsyndicate.com.
travelsyndicate.com.travelsyndicate.com. (
2001090610 ; serial
10800 ; refresh
3600 ; retry
604800 ; expire
86400) ; minimum
travelsyndicate.com. 86400 IN MX 20 mail.travelsyndicate.com.
travelsyndicate.com. 86400 IN A 63.207.184.179
;; AUTHORITY RECORDS:
;; ADDITIONAL RECORDS:
mail.travelsyndicate.com. 86400 IN A 63.207.184.179
===============================================================================================
And a WhoIs lookup on Network Solutions lists these name servers:
Domain servers in listed order:
NS6.MEDIA-STREET.COM 63.207.184.179
NS2.MEDIA-STREET.COM 63.201.97.171
===============================================================================================
Squid will definitely not work if DNS is messed up, so go into the
browser admin and make sure that it's off.
and fix the DNS records, if you need help with that, feel free to call.
which is correct but I still get System-Wide Configuration for 0 on the
home page of my admin server.....
My DNS, FTP and Sendmail is running but no WebServer
??????

You can change the host name in the /etc/hostconfig file, on the 6th
or 7th line should be an entry which says HOSTNAME=Host.Domain.com.
after making a change to that file you will need to reboot the
server. Also make sure that the hostname you put in there is fully
qualified in your dns.
