iTools
Last week we changed our servers over from WebSTAR 4 to iTools 6.5.1. When
we did this we also seperated the Mail server and the web server and put
them on 2 different IP addreses. The Web server (iTools) stayed on our .22
ip address and our mail server moved to .19 .We changed all our DNS boxes
and iTools to point all the mail.whatever.com to the new ipaddress.
The problem is about 25% of our customers are still getting routed to
..19 when they use mail.whatever.com. I have a talked to several of them and
had them ping our mail server though their internet connection and they all
ping wrong. The other 75% is running fine and everything has updated at
their ISP's..
How in the world do you get AT&T Broadband and other ISP's to update their
DNS cache or is there a way to have our DNS servers notify their servers? Or
is it just a matter of waiting it out till they all update?
Thanks,
