Has anyone on this list got recommendations about the built in mail server that itools offers? Is it good for basic smtp/pop/imap accounts? And does it suffer from being on the same machine with apache running?

I spoke to sales at tenon and they said I would be fine, but I want some
real world examples as well.

I have an older iMac DV SE 400 with 384 MB RAM running from a 384 Kb DSL line. I host about 8 sites from it at the moment with no trouble. A few of the users use the WebMail program on occasion, as do I when I'm away from the office. It works without a hitch for me. I receive about 300 emails and send about 10 or so per day. I also have a few cron tasks that fire off emails. I'm quite sure iTools uses the existing version of Sendmail already on MacOS X to manage this. The web-based interface allows you to add users, assign aliases, etc. for email.

I'd use the exact same setup (newer hardware, of course) if I needed to do it over.
