Peter,

Did when you say that your "server ... no longer accepts incoming
connections from outside..." do you mean that it stops accepting
connections from Timbuktu, ssh, or web service?

On your server running iTools (and doing DNS), is the DNS Server setting
in the Network section of the control panel set to the IP address of your
server?

This is correct.

The Tenon configuration is correct and allows for Apache to respond to web
requests from any IP address that is configured.

Your use of the IP address 192.168.x.x scares me. These addresses are
reserved for internal network use and will not work on the Internet. Your
use of the loopback IP 127.0.0.1 in the above config file is also
incorrect.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but you would be more successful
using "real" IP addresses that have an entry in your DNS server. To make
sure that Apache (and the Admin Server) look for the most up-to-date DNS
records, make sure that your computer is pointed to itself for DNS
(explained above).

iTools makes use of the existing httpd.conf file that Mac OS X installs.
This is good because it means that any Apache configuration changes that
you have made before installing iTools are preserved. The downside to
this is that if there are any issues in the config file, iTools cannot
automatically "fix" them since it did not create those issues. In the
above log file, the line indicating a warning with
mod_redirectacgi_apple.c must have been there before iTools was installed.
All of the Apache modules with the "_apple" suffix are Apple's.

I do not believe that Webmin will help you in this situation. The Admin
Server has a larger number of Apache configuration features and will
ultimately be more successful.

To my knowledge, Bind will not stop working when the iTools serial number
expires.

Hope this helps,

Erik.
