Re: Important iTools 6.5 and Jaguar Information
Terry,
I'm sure that you are already familiar with Apple's update strategy which
includes overwriting any configuration file that it wishes without
prompting the user. Jaguar follows the same pattern.
You will definitely want to back up any configuration that you wish to
save that are similar to what Apple already includes (DNS, Apache, etc.).
Maybe Apple will come to its senses and prompt the user before overwriting
valuable configuration in the future (even Windows does this), but until
then, be very careful about Apple's updates.
I have not seen a case in which iTools alone has lost a user's
configuration, but I would still back up between iTools upgrades.
