Hi all,

I asked this before with no answers so I rephrase my question in hope for
any response.

This is what I want to do:

I have a server running iTools 6.5.7. I use it for mail, web and
ftp-services. I have set up DNS behind my firewall using iTools as well.

My ISP will set up their DNS as I request.

1.
I now have registered my domains under a few more top domains and I want my
visitors to be able to access my site using both www.domain.com and
www.domain.se.

I know this can be done by creating a new virtual host pointing to the same
root directory as the first domain, but I figure there must be an easier
way. I tried putting the new domain as a server alias but could not make it
work.

2.
Also if the user writes this address: www.domain.com I want the address
field to change to www.domain.se once the user hits my webpage. I know this
can be done by using a redirect in a .htaccess file redirecting all requests
for one domain to another. Is this the only way it can be done?

3
How do I make both http://www.domain.com work and only http://domain.com
work?

Thanks for any explanations!

/Peter
Hi Peter,
Well, I think Tenon have some documents relating to running behind a firewall - which will most likely help you out.
Assuming you've got a single domain working fine under that arrangement, a post earlier in the year helped me out - set up domain.com in your DNS - assuming that it's set up correctly & that you can access http://domain.com correctly, then you should be able to add www.domain.com (leave out the http://) in the server alias field in iTools web admin.
I guess you'd need to put a space like this between:
www.domain.com www.domain.se
give that a try. I think if you use the above method for your question 2, it will always write domain.com instead of domain.se - I think only a redirect will sort it out as you want it, but anyone else is welcome to correct me.
