Hi Mark,
It is probably not easy to do this. For iTools, you will
need to add those users as iTools users in User Management.
This is because the MacOSX passwords are stored as one way
encryption. Therefore, we can't decrypt the password and
store it into our database. There is a mod_auth_sys.c
(search in google) file written for older generation of Apache to
authenticate with System users. It's possible for you to adopt
it, and use it to authenticate with System users. However, it
might be more trouble than adding those users into iTools Users
management. Hope this helps.
regards,
Eric

We have an administrative computer, with
absolutely tons of OSX users that can log into the machine. If
at all possible, we would like to use these accounts as users in
apache/iTools, so we can use
them for authentication purposes on most
of our websites.
Is this possible, if not, is there any
other program that makes it possible?
