Creating a realm in 6.5.7?

How does one go about creating a password protected folder (realm) in 
iTools 6.5.7?

I've created a user, and then in the Realm Based Requirements under 
Virtual Hosts > Folder Contents> Access Controls  I type in the name 
of the Realm and select the user and then click Save Access Controls.

When I attempt to hit the folder, I get:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was 
unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator,  [no address given] and 
inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might 
have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
