iTools
I have a nagging issue that I hope can be resolved.
I do not have a pressing need to upgrade to Apache 2.x thus iTools
7.x I do however like to keep my other software up to date i.e. MySQL
and PHP.
I have installed MySQL 4.x using the OS X installer found at
www.mysql.com and all is well. For PHP 4.3.x I turned to the package
found at www.entropy.ch.
The problem is that this package will only work on a non-iTools OS X system.
If I install this package over iTools (with the iTools specific PHP
un-installed) apache fails to parse PHP files with endless XML parse
errors.
After un-installing iTools the PHP 4.3.x package works fine.
Can any one on the list / Tenon comment on this?
I am running the latest iTools v6 and OS X 10.2.6 Client.
I hope this can be resolved other wise I might be looking at another
open source package like Webmin. I am getting to the point that I
could run my servers from the CLI now but the GUI is nice to have.
I was told once that iTools does not mess with apache but the
Un-install script shows other wise.
Thanks,
Dan
