Installing iTools 7 (from WebTen)
I'm moving a WebTen system over to iTools 7 and had a few questions about
the installation and initial setup.
Does the machine running iTools need to be logged in as root? I do not have
access to the Tenon directory or its contents when logged in as an
administrator.
Directories owned by "www" show in the Finder (through the permissions
pop-up in a Get Info window) as a blank entry. Is this normal?
Directories owned by the logged-in admin user show as random Chinese
characters, sometimes mixed with a few English characters of the admin name
when viewed in the Finder. This is *not* normal.
Is it time to wipe the drive and start over?
Also, I'm trying to move files from the old server based upon merging the
info contained in "iTools 6 transition information" (from WebTen to iTools
6) and the "iTools Transition Guide" (from Apache to iTools 7) documents
(since there's no WebTen to iTools 7 guide I could find). Do virtual hosts
really need to be separate files Included in vhosts.conf or can they still
be VirtualHost directives in httpd.conf?
