Hi Dan,

The mail log report should convert post.office log to readable format 
by awstats.  Then analyze them like combined web log.  If you wish to 
analyze old logs, you will need to remove 
/Library/Tenon/WebLog/cgi-bin/awstats102003.mail.txt.  And run 
commands manually like this from the first day of your post.office 
log files:

/Library/Tenon/WebLog/tools/maillogconvert.pl standard < 
/var/spool/post.office/log/post.office.log > /tmp/mail.log
/Library/Tenon/WebLog/cgi-bin/awstats.pl -config=mail 
-logfile=/tmp/mail.log -update

You can replace post.office.log with the old log file names.

The mail log convert.pl looks for SMTP-Accept:Received: for incoming 
traffic and SMTP-Delivery: for out going traffic.  Error-Handler: for 
SMTP error codes.  It is updated very 15,45 minutes of the hour.  I 
hope this is helpful.
