Re: OSX 10.3 compatibility
I probably took the wrong upgrade approach then. I didn't see a system update
last night so I downloaded the 7.2 core software and used that to update my 7.1
installation.
I purchased Panther but I didn't purchase it for the purpose of upgrading my
iTools box as I don't see the need for it (feel free to tell me if there is a
need) and it hasn't been out long enough for me to trust it on that particular
box as of yet. I did plan on installing it on my PowerBook but now that I'm
hearing stories about things being hard-coded in Mail and Safari, I'm wondering
if I should return it.
One problem I did have with the upgrade is that
/Library/Tenon/System/Scripts/WEBSERVER was attempting to execute
/Library/Tenon/WebServer/Executables/apachectl but that file no longer existed
having been replaced with apachectl-1.3 and apachectl-2.0. As a quick fix to
the problem - which probably wasn't the correct thing to do but it worked - I
performed a `sudo cp apachectl-2.0 apachectl` and then a `sudo chown www
apachectl`.
I imagine the name change of apachectl has to do with the new ability to switch
between Apache 1.3 and Apache 2.0. Regrettably, I don't believe the update to
7.2 modified /Library/Tenon/System/Scripts/WEBSERVER to take advantage of this
feature.
