Hi again, Okay, no, I didn't yet document installation, but it required no modification to the existing sendmail setup at all & I believe it would work for either iTools 6.x or iTools 7.x It's pretty much the case of following the installation path exatcly as per the Spam Assassin docs (I used the CPAN method, but installed Spam Assassin itself from the tarball). Once I got to that stage, I thought I had stuffed it up, but it turned out that I had it running properly, but needed to add Procmail into the path, I found this out from a very helpful friend. What you need to do is create a procmailrc file in the /etc folder with what you want done with the spam (I have routed everything to /dev/null as we're not holding military secrets & the odd few false positives aren't going to kill anyone here - I guess you could route them to some special spam directory, but Spam Assassin seems pretty accurate) The other thing is that you need some way of getting procmail into the loop & as Tenon's sendmail.cf file doesn't include it unless you rebuild (not a task for the faint-hearted) the sendmail, adding a ..forward for each user which routes all their mail to procmail is the way to go. hope this info helps out. --
