I have dealt with this (finally) by changing permissions for the 
entire WebSites Folder to:

Owner: 'Lasso'
Group: 'www'

Allows FTP access as expected.

NEW ISSUE (Re: Lasso)....

Meanwhile, I am finding that in order to allow web read/write 
permissions directly to files by the Lasso user, I must set Lasso 
Security for 'Files' permissions to 'outside of root'. Is it possible 
if I change the 'path' using the Net Info App for the 'www' user from 
/Library/WebServer/  to /Library/Tenon/WebServer/, it would allow me 
to set it back to secure 'within root' Lasso settings? Would it 
disrupt anything else in iTools configuration if this was changed?
