Re: WebCatalog folder not serving images

According to the logs, yes, it is Permission Denied in the logs. The files themselves belong to www/admin, same as files in other directories, so I don't know what the problem is. I'm logged onto the server with my admin privileges. Then I was searching the WebCat archives for another issue, and it seems www needs permission to run my embedded AppleScripts. Or WebCat needs to be a user with admin permissions. So I tried to log in as www, but had no idea what the password was. I tried to reset the password via the system disk/restart, but www doesn't show up in the list of users. So I decided to look at users in iTools, only to find out that itools Mgr didn't launch on restart and I can't figure out how to make that happen. What a mess. I had hoped to work on this on the holiday tomorrow, but I guess not.

My WebCatalog folder is not serving up images or pdfs; just the html. It says Internal Server Error when I click a pdf link or try to open an image in its own window. Other folders work fine.

Hi again, Actually sounds like maybe a permissions issue - if the HTML is being served up, then it's most likely to do with Webcatalog - try putting a standard HTML page in which calles an image & a PDF - if that works, then you'll need to check out Webcatalog itself I think. Take a look at the webserver log & the error log when it fails & it should give you a clue as to what is giving the problem - almot all internal server errors for me have been to do with incorrect uploads (i.e. binary instead of ASCII text), or a permissions error on a file - this pretty much tells true for what you said that the other folders work fine - of course I coul be completely wrong but I hope this gives you something to work off. --
