iTools
We are migrating iTools and sites from one server to another. Thought that the
best idea would be a clean install of 6.5 on the new server along with clean
(latest) versions of iTools PHP. The old server is running php v4.0.6 and the
new server is running php v4.2.3...
One orphaned site -- it's orphaned because the client's developer is long gone
-- uses a syntax like this for URL variables:
http://www.domain.com/index.php?artnum=5
and then on the php page he wants to use the variable like this:
<?
'.$artnum.';
?>
Unfortunately... the variable is empty when the page is processed.
Has there been some syntax change between php versions? And if so, is there any
switch or configuration item in php that can be changed to allow for backwards
compatibility?
thanks,
~joe
