Setting "HostnameLookups On" did turn it on for all VirtualHosts on my server. Even if the VirtualHosts use different logs.

Yeah, I'm sure it did... Thats the problem though... If you enable that setting in your httpd.conf it can slow your server down. However if you get awestats to do it, you might only bog your server down for a short time when it runs the stats...


I use: LogFormat combined

Works for me too...


You understand here that I'm talking about hacking the httpd.conf file
right?

Yeah, and I was also talking about the awestats config to do the name resolving itself.


If you are having performance problems, you might want to take a look at the awestats name resolution option. What does Tenon think?
