Here's what I've got...

chown: www: invalid user name

I don't like the look of that - it's not actually iTools I
think, it's OSX telling you that the user www (which Apache runs
under), is missing from the system. I think I would try running the
iTools installer to see if that gets you up again.

Case of vegimite for my mate Terry!!!
When you said system, it got me thinking... So, I added a user 'www'
to the osx system, and that got it going... for now.
I have to wonder if the permissions issue is related?
