Peter,

You might want to check /Library/Tenon/WebServer/Configuration/httpd-1.3.conf, with addition from your previous changes.
Make sure you don't have another line that says: BindAddress *

In your virtual hosts configuration, make sure you don't have any virtual host that uses "*" as their IP address.

Eric

Well I am keeping this thread alive all by myself ;-)

This is what I have tried now, wchich gave me a scare:

Stopped Apache. Restarted QuickTime Streaming server, and then restarted
Apache.

Now QTSS shows up instead of Apache in iTools server status page! No virtual
hosts are working since it looks like QTSS is handling all requests on port
80.
But I have sett QTSS to only listen to the other ip, and apache to listen to
the first one.

Stopping QTSS and restarting Apache did not set things back to normal. I had
to prevent QTSS to stream on port 80 for Apache to come back on.

So it looks like Apache wants to bind to both ip numbers and if it can not,
it fails to start.

What now?

I set these values in httpd-1.3.conf but it did not prevent Apache from
listening on the other ip-address:

Listen 195.149.138.30:80

BindAddress 195.149.138.30

What else do I need to change to prevent Apache from "steeling" port 80 on
the other ip address from QuickTime Streaming server?

I run iTools 7.2 on an xserve that has two network cards. I want to let the
QuickTime streaming server stream content on port 80, and have set the
streaming server to only bind to one of the ip numbers for that machine.

I have also set up all virtual hosts to be on the other ip number.

But Apache answers on both ip numbers.

I have read about iTools network settings in the user manual but can not
find any info on how to prevent iTools Apache to answer on both ip numbers
assigned to the machine.
How is that done?

Regards

Peter
