Re: Users conflicting with php engines
it might mean a hack of the mambo code is in order:
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.chown.php
or you could check the mambo boards to see how other users handle this
issue.

Cris Boisvert had written:
I have a user that is using MAMBO ( a phpnuke type engine)
When they upload something using the php upload template option.. The
uploaded files is received at the server but set to be the user "www" not
the user that the customer has when they ftp in.
The engine will not upload as the user of the site.
So when they ftp in they cannot delete/chmod/modify the files/folders that
were uploaded.
The options on the files are like this
Options user group filename/directory
________________________________________
drwxrwxr-x www ftpguest templates
I can manually go anc chown the files for them but this is PITA!
Most of the other users just upload the files via ftp so the permissions and
users are set via ftp anf there are no problems.
I suspect someone has come by this already..
Thanx
Cris
