to see what might be causing my adminserver to not start? or what terminal command can I issue and watch the results as i try to restart?

I did a mass install of some things and now I can't conect via port 85.

Hi again, Have you checked to see if your machine has somehow enabled the firewall on that port? I think most of the non-start info will appear in system.log - hope that helps. --
