I wasn't talking to the hardware, but the software. However, I know people
on the apple list do say the xservers are faster than the same desktop
boxes...not sure if I understand that. Must be the differences in mother
boards. (both running same software, same ram, same processors...)
I can't speak for the iTools version as I haven't used it. I just sleep on
the list to catch little things...I thought about buying it once...just to
see what makes this different than the apple server and-or using webmin on
client. I can handle making apache changes, DNS changes, etc, it's the mail
part I'm most interested in.
I'm just regurgitating what is said on the server list many times.
Most (not all) of our web stuff is still on cobalt raq boxes.
They are cheap, run forever, and everything works.
